All you need to make this excellent drink is gallon water, some tea leaves or bags, a teaspoon of sugar or granulated sugar, some lime juice, and some passion fruit of course!

  • Heat 4 cups of water in a saucepan over medium-high.Once the cold water comes to a boil, switch off the heat and add 2 teaspoons black tea leaves in boiling water and 5-6 mint leaves and let the tea steep for 2 minutes.

*Tip: Do not over-steep otherwise the tea will become bitter.

  • Note – You can replace black tea leaves with green tea leaves. Instead of loose tea, you can use 1 tea bag for 2 teaspoons of loose tea.
  • Strain the tea using a tea strainer in a pitcher.
  • Let the tea cool down for 10-15 minutes. You can refrigerate it to fasten the cooling process. 
  • Add ½ cup sugar, 2 teaspoon lime juice, and 1 cup of passion fruit pulp and mix well until the tsp sugar is dissolved.
  • You can refrigerate the tea at this stage for 2-3 days
  • Fill a glass with ice cubes until ¾th fill. Add a few mint leaves and 1-2 lime rounds to the glass.
  • Pour the tea over ice and serve immediately.

*Tip – If you don’t like passion fruit seeds, you can strain the pulp using a fine-mesh strainer and use the juice.
