As you can see, more than 87.10% of the women that responded said soda was helpful for morning sickness and nausea caused by pregnancy.

The primary consideration is not to drink too much.

But, some people have found soda water works equally as well.

Therefore, trying a few different sodas is best to see which one works best for you.

Why more than 12 oz a day is too much soda while pregnant?

There is a recommended daily intake of sugar.

It is about 25 grams of sugar at the most per day for women, which is about 6 teaspoons.

A regular 12 oz can of soda contains 36 grams of sugar.

Therefore, if you consume a whole can, you will reach the recommended daily intake of sugar.

But some foods contain sugar. And some foods are very high in sugar, such as chocolate and cake.

So, suppose you drink Pepsi or another soda and consume some other foods that are high in sugar. In that case, it’s virtually guaranteed you will go over the recommended daily intake of sugar.
